The latest Mobile Number Portability (MNP) chart has yet again affirmed 9mobile as gaining the highest ports-in over the past one year.
According the MNP report from the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), 62% of 10,871 numbers that ported moved to 9mobile network as at May 2019.
The report between the period of June 2018 to May 2019, indicated that 9mobile within that period has consistently maintained double or triple lead in ports-in to stay ahead of other networks.
The vice president of sales, 9mobile, Ken Ogujiofor, while commenting on the progress, stated that this was proof that subscribers appreciate a network that delivers high quality voice and data services.
According to him, “We recognise that quality data and voice services are important in the day-to-day activities of Nigerians; therefore, we are passionately committed to providing the best services. To ensure optimum quality of service, 9mobile recently completed network upgrade of its 4G LTE in 6 major cities including Port Harcourt, Kano and Lagos and we are still expanding to an additional 15 cities before the end of Q3 2019”.
He further revealed that 70% of of the porting activities for the month of March 2019, where from other networks to 9mobile and this was due to the enhanced Quality of Service (QoS).
