The Nigerian digital content distribution platform, Publiseer, has been selected as one of the 16 finalists for the 2019’s Fall edition of Halcyon Incubator Fellowship. The startup which was founded by Chidi Nwaogu and Chika Nwaogu, was selected out of 423 applications submitted for the Fellowship program.
The Halcyon Incubator Fellowship is a program to equip early-stage social entrepreneurs with the necessary support for scaling up their solutions. It has partnered with several leading firms to advise and financially support the fellows’ ventures.
The program is part of its missions to solve challenges in the 21st century facing by the world and the nation. Halcyon positions itself as a catalyst for social entrepreneurs, helping them to transform their ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures. In other words, the focus of the incubator is on social impact as well as profit.
Selected entrepreneurs will participate in the 18-month fellowship program and receive free residency and workspace, mentorship and leadership coaching, robust support from business consultants, as well as a living stipend to develop their entrepreneurial ideas into reality.
As a content distribution platform, Publiseer facilitates independent African creatives like writers and musicians from low-income communities to promote and monetize their creative works on more than 400 digital platforms in 100 countries for free.
